In addition to the efforts to enhance the exceptional archives of the Vieille-Montagne company and its industrial heritage, the VMH association is determined to look to the future by helping the community to understand the conditions in the Liege basin at the beginning of the 19th century to lead the development of several metallurgical enterprises of world size and diffusion.

These elements, which affect all fields of engineering, education and training, trade, energy or transport, can and should be reflected in the current society which, in this pandemic context, is initiating its ecological transition, and in particular, in the thinking of politicians, industrialists, investors and opinion leaders in Wallonia but also in Europe.
